## 1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Swipe Leagues (the "App," "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of Swipe Leagues, including users who create leagues, join leagues, and make picks.

## 2. About Swipe Leagues
Swipe Leagues is a free, social prediction game where users can swipe to pick winners of NHL hockey games and compete against friends in private leagues. **Swipe Leagues involves no real money, no wagering, and no gambling of any kind.** Points are virtual and have no monetary value.

## 3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Swipe Leagues. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. Users in certain jurisdictions may need to meet a higher minimum age under local law.

## 4. Your Account
### 4.1 Account Creation
You may create an account using an email address and password, or by signing in with Google. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
### 4.2 Account Accuracy
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You must not impersonate another person or use a username that is offensive, misleading, or violates anyone's rights.
### 4.3 One Account Per Person
You may only maintain one active account. Creating multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage in leagues is prohibited.

## 5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Swipe Leagues only for its intended purpose and in compliance with all applicable laws. You agree **not** to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm other users
- Post or transmit offensive, obscene, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content in league chats
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or another user's account
- Use automated scripts, bots, or other tools to interact with the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App
- Manipulate or misrepresent your picks or standings
- Interfere with the integrity of any league or its members' experience

## 6. Picks and Leagues
### 6.1 No Real-Money Consequences
All picks, points, standings, and competition within Swipe Leagues are for entertainment purposes only. No monetary prizes are offered, and no entry fees are charged.
### 6.2 League Commissioner Rules
Users who create leagues ("Commissioners") are responsible for managing their leagues fairly. Commissioners may not use their position to harass or unfairly disadvantage other league members.
### 6.3 Data Accuracy
Game schedules and scores are sourced from the official NHL Stats API. We are not responsible for inaccuracies in third-party data. Pick results are based on the final scores recorded by our data provider.
### 6.4 Pick Deadlines
Picks made after a game has started may be recorded but will not be eligible for points. The Service makes no guarantees about pick submission timing in cases of network outages or device issues.

## 7. User-Generated Content
### 7.1 Your Content
When you submit content through Swipe Leagues (including chat messages and usernames), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and transmit that content for the purpose of operating the Service.
### 7.2 Content Standards
You are solely responsible for the content you post. Content must not be:
- Hateful, harassing, or threatening
- Sexually explicit or violent
- Defamatory or fraudulent
- In violation of any third party's rights
### 7.3 Moderation
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to review, remove, or restrict access to content that violates these Terms or our community standards.

## 8. Intellectual Property
### 8.1 Our IP
The Swipe Leagues name, logo, design, and all original content are our intellectual property or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
### 8.2 Third-Party IP
Team names, logos, and associated marks referenced in the App are the property of the NHL and its member clubs. Swipe Leagues uses publicly available game data for informational purposes only and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the NHL or any NHL team.

We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Any pick results, scores, or standings will be accurate or timely
- Defects will be corrected

## 11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SWIPE LEAGUES AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, given the Service is free, is $0).
